Beginning Summer Semester of 2007, the Ayers Foundation and University of Tennessee at Martin are offering scholarships to students and residents of Perry County. Beginning with students who graduated from Perry County High School in 2007, scholarships in the amount of $500 per semester, regardless of family income or academic standing, will be available to students taking at least 12 credit hours of course work at Parsons Center.
The Ayers Foundation Traditional Learner Scholarships are available to students, beginning with the graduating Class of 2007, from the following counties: Decatur, Carroll, Benton, Perry, Wayne, Hardin and Henderson. It is also available to Decatur and Henderson County students who graduated 2004-2006 and received an Ayers Foundation scholarship.
The Ayers Foundation Adult Learner Scholarships are to anyone who has been out of high school at least 3 years, regardless of academic standing or family income, and who are residents of the following counties: Decatur, Henderson, Carroll, Benton, Perry, Wayne and Hardin.
The Ayers Foundation pays 50% of tuition costs, UT Martin pays 25%, students pay 25% plus cost of text books. Students are eligible for reimbursement of their 25% portion when 59.9 credit hours are completed and/or when Bachelors degree is completed.
