According to the 2007 Report Card issued by the Tennessee Department of Education, Lobelville School is in good standing and meets all benchmrks of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act.
Average daily membership was 254 students, 52.9% male. Of that total, 95% were white, 1.9% were African-American, 1.2% were Hispanic, and 1.9% were Native American or Alaskan.
Economically disadvantaged children numbered 140, or 53.8%.
NCLB benchmarks were met in all testing areas: math, and reading/language arts/writing.
Attendance rates were 95.2%, higher than the state goal of 93%.
Academic achieve ment grades, based on TCAP testing, were as follows:

math - "B," slightly below the state average of "A;"

reading/language arts - "B," equal to the state average and an improvement from the Lobelville School grade of "C" in 2006;

social studies - "D," no change from the previous year and below the state average of "B;"

science - "C," below the state average of "B."
In writing, students in grade five had a "B" (state average was "A"); among eighth graders, the grade was "A," equal to the state average.
Promotion rate at Lobelville School was 98.8%, higher than the state average of 97%.
No suspensions or expulsionjs were reported.
One hundred percent of the courses were taught by "highly qualified teachers."
