Lobelville City Hall Ground Breaking Ceremony

The official ground breaking ceremony was held Wednesday, August 19, in Lobelville for the new City Hall and Library.

The project, funded by USDA, is expected to be completed by March of 2010. Pictured with the shovels are (left to right) Renae Powell, librarian for the Lobelville Library; Jeff Corlew, C&I Design; Mayor Robby Moore, Bank of Perry County; and Faye Rodgers, Area Director for USDA, along with City of Lobelville staff, County Mayor John Carroll, Perry County Library Director Dorothy Peavahouse, and Marsha Blackburn's staff representative Mike Knotts.

As you can see from the picture, construction is underway and moving along rapidly.  Everyone is  excited about this new facility and what it will mean to Lobelville.
