HiCountry Offroad Products

VisionPerry would like to welcome Perry County’s newest business partner, HiCountry Offroad Products, a KMGA, Inc. company.

Matthew and Kelley Bush have operated this business for over three years from their Evergreen, Colorado facilities. After careful consideration, and a bit of coercion from his Tennessee based in-laws, Matthew narrowed his search criteria and chose to relocate his operations to Perry County.

Approximately three miles north of Linden on Highway 13, HiCountry serves the aftermarket needs of off-road enthusiasts around the world.

HiCountry Offroad Products designs, fabricates, and distributes a large variety of metal components, such as tow hooks, brush guards, skid plates, roof racks, and bumpers. These products are designed to exceed original manufacturing specifications and meet the harsh and sometimes brutal environment where their customers choose to play.

While the majority of their customers are east of the Mississippi, HiCountry also ships products overseas to Australia, Germany, New Zealand, Dubai ,and United Arab Emirates, just to name a few. Year-over-year sales are growing exponentially and HiCountry’s reputation is beginning to open up opportunities in additional markets—pretty good stats for a company with little marketing other than word-of-mouth advertising.

HiCountry is an inspiration to other entrepreneurs who are ready to turn their hobby into a full-fledged business enterprise.

Matthew’s previous management and manufacturing experience within the automotive industry fueled his enthusiasm and association with the off-road market. The hobby soon became so demanding that he finally decided to focus his full-time attention to its increasing demand.

The company’s move to Perry County creates a huge competitive advantage—with a trained workforce in metals/welding and the stimulus incentives currently available. HiCountry will soon hire three to four employees and potentially more as their business grows.

With an internet-based business, HiCountry could be located anywhere; it’s great that they found Perry County and chose to locate here.

I know you will be interested in visiting their web-site. You can find them at www.hicountryoffroad.com. Stop by and browse their catalog. Also, they’re up to a challenge, so if you have an idea for a different specialty part for your vehicle, drop them an email and see what they can do. I’m sure you will be impressed.
