The Ambassador Program is a member recruitment and retention program for Chamber members who wish to help expand the membership of the Chamber while providing them an opportunity to increase exposure for them and the business they represent. The Ambassadors will work on a volunteer basis as a liaison between businesses and the Chamber. They also help members maximize the benefit they receive from membership in the Chamber by keeping abreast of events, maintaining a working knowledge of the Chamber, and communicating with members about new programs and events. There are a number of benefits to being an Ambassador, including

  • Increased positive exposure for you and your business as a community minded business who works for the common good of the Chamber and the business community
  • Build valuable business and social network contacts
  • Gain publicity through the Chamber Newsletter for you and your business
  • Obtain an inside perspective of how the Chamber works to improve the business climate and be an integral part of the communities growth
  • Develop and hone leadership, communication, and marketing skills
  • Have the opportunity to earn recognition, awards, and prizes
  • Earn rebates towards annual membership dues or upgrades to membership
There are responsibilities and requirements that would have to be met in order to serve as an Ambassador for the Perry County Chamber of Commerce. They include:
  • Make a one year commitment to the Ambassador Program
  • Attend monthly Ambassador meetings
  • Make personal contact with a minimum of 1 different member business per week
  • Maintain business/member contact log that are turned in at monthly meeting
  • Keep up to date with events and programs the Chamber offers and relay that information to members and potential members
  • Encourage new and existing members to participate in Chamber programs and events
  • Attend Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies
  • Actively recruit businesses to join the Chamber
  • Facilitate communication between the Chamber, its Board, and the membership
Ambassador Rebate Program:

With each new member who joins the Chamber an Ambassador refers, they will earn a rebate of 10% of their next year’s dues, up to 50%. After they reach 50%, they have the option to either move up to the next membership level or continue with the 10% per new member until they reach 100% rebate, after which they will earn a one-time commission of 10% of the new membership level the referral joined at.
